Video games can lead to disturbed heartbeat rhythm in children

It has been found out in a new study that not always can gaming be a safe activity, and because of gaming, children can fall prey to deadly heart-related ailments. As per a report published in Heart Rhythm, because of video games, the rhythm of the heartbeats of such children can get disturbed till unusual levels, who are already suffering from cardiac problems, and it has also been a reason of loss of life among many children.

Researchers conducted a study on the basis of 22 such cases wherein children, while playing video games, experienced disturbance in the heartbeat rhythm, even though the children’s ages were not revealed. The researchers found out that many children who were suffering from heart ailments, were also involved in playing multi-player war games on computers and consoles. The study also revealed that the tremors which are felt while playing video games, can be dangerous for some children.

Experts have warned saying that the children who suffer from blackouts during playing video games should be taken to heart specialists immediately, because losing consciousness can be the sign of an unknown heart ailment. Because of the adrenaline rush experienced due to physical activities, problems of experiencing blackouts, rise in heart rates, and falling unconscious can increase.
