On the lines of the BJP’s Gujarat election ‘Sankalp Patra’, anti-radicalization cells will now be developed in all the BJP-ruled states. Till the 2024 ok Sabha elections, the BJP will make it compulsory to include the creation of this cell in its manifestos for all the assembly elections.

The party General Secretary is of the opinion that in order to mark an end to terrorism, it is crucial to uproot the very thought of it at the start, and after taking suggestions from people on the same, the party has promised to form an anti-radicalization cell in its Gujarat ‘Sankalp Patra’. As per sources, it is being mulled on by the Centre to issue an advisory about the same to all the states. Sources from the Home Ministry have said that states like Karnataka, MP, Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh are very sensitive as far as radicalization is concerned.

And therefore, in order to strengthen the internal security of the country, such cells are crucial to be created.

It is also being said that it will be good if the state governments take an initiative on their own as far as the anti-radicalization cells and their development is concerned. If the states want that the Centre should take the initiative, then the latter can think about it. But it will be better for the federal democracy, if the state governments take an initiative towards this on their own.
