Snow & Torrential Rain in Sky: Lahaul-Spiti snowscapes now trembling

Shimla: Everything is not normal in the life of the Tribal people of Lahaul-Spiti these days as it has witnessed unprecedented snowfall following Avalanches and torrential rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, the snowscapes were trembling as two tremors hit last night. The district was hit by two major tremors that jolted the hills for a few seconds.

The magnitude of the tremors was between 3.2 and 3.1 and was felt at 2130 hrs and 2207 hrs on Wednesday, the Met office said.

The epicentre was located at latitude 32.72 and Longitude 76.60 and was 10 km deep.

No loss of property and life was reported in the mishap felt by people in the district.
