Massive rally taken out protesting arrest of Naidu

Guntur: A massive rally was taken out by women here on Saturday in protest against the arrest of Telugu Desam party chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The rally christened as ‘Nenu Saitam-Babu Kosam’ began at Subham kalyana mandapam. The women held black flags and black balloons and raised slogans like ‘psycho should go and cycle should come’. A large number of elderly persons also took part in the rally.

Meanwhile, the TDP leaders offered special poojas and prayers in all temples across the state on Saturday invoking deities for the early release of Naidu from prison.

A large number of TDP activists led by their leaders went to the famous Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple in a rally in Visakhapatnam and performed palabhishekam to the goddess in the temple. The TDP leaders vowed to continue the battle till Chief Minister Mohan Reddy was defeated in the next elections.

It may be mentioned here that Ex-Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in the Skill Development scam on September 11 and he was lodged in the Rajahmundry Central Prison.
