Bhopal: The spirit of the Lord appears to pervade Madhya Pradesh as well on Monday where a festive atmosphere prevails, in view of the consecration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, and worshippers are immersed in devotion for Dhanurdhara.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav undertook cleansing and offered worship at the Shri Siddha Raghunath shrine situated at the state capital’s Tulsi Manas Pratishthan.

Subsequently, he emplaned for Raja Ram’s town Orchha in Niwari district where he is scheduled to watch the live coverage from Ayodhya.

Yadav’s predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan – also present in Orchha – said, “The temple dream is being realised after ceaseless struggle spanning five centuries.” He offered tributes to those who sacrificed themselves for the noble cause.

Meanwhile, Ramdhun was organised and safaimitras honoured under the aegis of the ruling BJP’s state office’s Media Centre here.

Local shrines and principal public places have been specially decorated. Saffron banners are visible. Similar scenes are being witnessed for the past few days in other cities, towns and rural areas of Madhya Pradesh where a public holiday is being observed.
