AAP leader Manish Sisodia allowed to meet ailing wife once a week

On Monday, February 5, jailed AAP leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia, was granted permission by the Rouse Avenue Court to meet his ailing wife, once a week in custody parole.

The move comes after Sisodia had submitted an application, which sought permission for him to meet his wife twice every week. Sisodia mentioned in his plea that his wife has been suffering from multiple sclerosis for the last 20 years.

While the court has allowed Sisodia to meet his wife tomorrow, at his residence, from 10 am to 4 pm, it has also directed him that no political meetings or speeches are allowed.

Earlier, he had filed bail applications in the court, which have consistently been denied. The Supreme Court too, recently rejected his plea on the grounds of an established money trail in the case. The hearing on Sisodia’s regular bail plea will be taking place on February 12.

It was in February 2023 that Manish Sisodia in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam.
