Kiev: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may push for more military assistance from Western countries during his visits to Berlin, Paris, and possibly London as part of his tour this week, which would coincide with the Munich Security Conference in Germany, a senior Ukrainian official told The New York Times on the condition of anonymity on Tuesday.

Zelenskyy’s office did not comment on his travel arrangements for security reasons and said that nothing was finalised, the report said.

The German newspaper Tagesspiegel reported earlier that Zelenskyy was planning to travel to Germany on his second visit since the Ukraine conflict broke out.

Munich Security Conference Chair Christoph Heusgen said earlier that Zelenskyy and Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko had been invited to participate in the event.

This year, the Munich Security Conference will take place from February 16–18.
