TTD Trust Board decides to enhance wages for 9k contract employees

Tirumala: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, in its meeting held here, decided to increase the wages of about 9,000 contract workers and outsource employees working in various departments.

The employees work in skilled, highly skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled categories.

Talking to reporters after the board meeting on Monday, TTD Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy along with Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, said the employees will be given a hike ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000.

The board has sanctioned Rs 8.15 crores for the expansion of the kitchen and canteen at SV Employees Canteen in Tirumala, providing subsidized breakfast and lunch to contract, outsourcing, societies, FMS, and sanitation staff.

The board has approved an increase in HRA for Srivari temple staff and extended FMS services for three years in Rest Houses and PACs in Tirumala.

Decisions include extending TTD Asthana Siddhanti Sri Tangirala Venkatakrishna Purna Prasad Siddhanti’s tenure, transferring employees of Sri Lakshmi Srinivasa Manpower Corporation to their societies, increasing wages, and providing bus passes.

The Board resolved to send proposals to the Andhra Pradesh government for setting up additional 15 posts of Potu supervisors in Srivari Potu to prepare more number of laddu Prasadams in Tirumala to meet the daily growing demand.

The board also resolved to remove the honorary Chief Priest Ramana Dikshitulu for making baseless accusations against TTD officials, Jiyangar Swamis, priests and Ahobila Mutt.
