Tension has arisen in Rajasthan’s Ajmer district’s Kishangarh after it was found out that miscreants threw pieces of meat in town’s vegetable mandi. After the incident was known of, protesters reached the market area and started to get it closed down. When the Rajasthan police got to know of this, they went to the location and started lathi-charging the distraught protesters in turn.
On Wednesday, June 19, a few boys, riding on motorcycles, were seen throwing the pieces of meat in the vegetable mandi, and after people tried to stop them, they escaped the spot. This resulted in chaos. The locals have alleged that it was beef and this has been done by Muslims to provoke the Hindus. The Madanganj station police said that currently, they are speaking with people regarding the matter, and the market has been shut down; force has also been deployed in the area of concern, and the police also mentioned stone-pelting to have taken place.
The police further explained how it was around 12 PM in the noon when a few boys were captured in the CCTV cameras while throwing meat pieces in the Oswali vegetable mandi in the Madanganj area of Kishangarh, a town which lies in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan. The culprits ran off while abusing the people who tried to stop them after this. This was when Hindu organizations, the locals, and the businessmen shut the market down, and started protesting against the dastardly crime.
The culprits are being searched for, based on the CCTV footage found.
