In a recent case which has come to the fore in Rajasthan’s Bijainagar, situated in Beawar district, a group of Muslim youths has been arrested for enticing underage school-going girls, blackmailing them, physically assaulting them, and pressurising them to convert to Islam. The parents of the victims along with other locals of Bijainagar protested against the matter and filed a complaint with the police. As per the locals, a gang of around 12-15 Muslim boys is involved in the activities.

Till now, 6 Muslims have been arrested by the police, and they are Rihan Muhammad (20), Sohail Mansoori (19), Lukman (20), Arman Pathan (29), Afraz, and Sahil Quraishi (19). Along with them, 1 underage accused have also been detained. As per Beawar SP Shyam Singh, cases under the POCSO Act have been filed against these 7 accused, who were allegedly involved in pressurizing young girls to convert to Islam as well. SP Singh has ensured strict action against the culprits after thorough investigation takes place.

As per police investigation, the accused blackmailed underage girls and threatened to kill them, tortured the victims mentally and physically, forcibly asked for money, and put pressure on them to accept Islam as their faith.

First, the accused trapped a female student from a private school and gave her a Chinese mobile, after which they started torturing and blackmailing her. After this, she was told by the accused that she could go free only if she introduced the accused to other girl students in her class. In what ensued, the girl enticed 5-6 of her female classmates, and the accused started blackmailing them as well. All this while, the pressure on the victims to accept things related to Islam remained constant.

As per the FIR filed, the accused first clicked and made objectionable photos and videos treacherously, and then started blackmailing the girls, threatening to leak the photos and videos in the public domain. The victims were also pressured to get sexually involved with the accused. Along with this, multiple parents got to know that their daughters were given Chinese mobiles or some toys.

The matter came to light when one of the victims stole 2000 Rs from her house to give money to the culprits, which her parents found out and caught her talking to someone over a mobile phone. She revealed her circumstances after her parents questioned her about the same. The parents then filed a case citing Love Jihad with the police, following which the police caught the accused using the very mobile phone the girl was given by them.
