Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jayanti celebrated in New Delhi

New Delhi: The birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, a great social reformer and revolutionary thinker who laid the foundation of women’s education in India, was celebrated at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi.

An official media statement stated that, resident Commissioner and Secretary R. Vimala offered flowers and paid tributes at the program organized near the complete statue of Mahatma Phule in the premises of Maharashtra Sadan located at Kasturba Gandhi Marg and in the hall of Maharashtra Sadan located at Copernicus Marg.

On this occasion, officers and employees present also offered flowers and paid tributes to the image of Mahatma Phule
