New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting extensive search and seizure operations at 18 premises across Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, and Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh.
The raids, which began early this morning, targeted the locations of vendors, contractors, and middlemen connected to an alleged misappropriation of funds from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMF).

The action is based on allegations that a huge amount of DMF funds, intended for the welfare of mining-affected areas, was illegally diverted and misappropriated through the ‘Beej Nigam, Chhattisgarh’.

Teams of at least eight ED officials, accompanied by Central security forces, are carrying out the raids. One of the key locations being searched is the residence of Raipur-based businessman Vinay Garg in the Shankar Nagar area.

The ED has not so far released an official statement detailing the exact scale of the alleged scam. The operation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
