Goa positive COVID-19 cases touch 463

Panjim: The northward climb of positive COVID-19 cases remains relentless with Goa reaching 463 cases today.

On May 3, 2020 Goa was declared a Green Zone state with no new COVID-19 cases for over a month since the call for an India lockdown. Now however, the state appears to be reeling under a sudden surge of the coronavirus pandemic.

The breakup of 394 actives cases are as follows; 217 cases reported at Mangor hill-Vasco, 117 cases linked to Mangor hill, 11 cases have been reported at New Vaddem, 15 cases at Baina which is close to Vasco, 8 cases reported at Chimbel which is close to Panjim and 60 cases were reported of people who travelled to the state by road, railways and airways.

Goa today reported 46 positive COVID-19 cases.
