After the much talked-about Opposition meeting held in Bihar’s Patna on Friday, June 23, LJP Chief, Chirag Paswan, taking a dig at the meeting and JDU Chief and Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar’s competence, asked the leaders of the opposition parties who had assembled in Bihar, to ask Kumar as to why is Bihar’s condition worse even after Nitish being the Chief Minister for 18 long years.

“The opposition leaders should ask Nitish Kumar as to why there is so much of corruption in Bihar, why does a bridge here collapse because of wind, why is a dam gnawed by rats? The leaders should also ask the Bihar CM as to why infrastructure in Bihar has not developed after such a long tenure of Kumar, and why could the Nitish government in Bihar not tighten the noose around crime?”

Prior to Chirag Paswan, the BJP and its leaders have lashed out at the opposition leaders and the meeting. The same was also done by BSP Chief Mayawati.

The Opposition meeting in Patna, hosted by Nitish Kumar was the first of its kind, and the next meeting of the same sort will be held next month in Shimla, as announced by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. The opposition leaders have come together to formulate a plan to fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together, to defeat and dethrone the BJP at the centre.
