Cooch Behar: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that the BJP’s ‘vendetta’ politics is costing lives in Bengal.

Addressing a public meeting here, Banerjee said, ‘ BJP’s vendetta politics is costing lives in Bengal. ‘

‘ Our people are being deprived of their rightful dues and are constantly suffering owing to the apathy of BJP towards Bengal. Our fight against such tyrannical forces will continue until justice is served to our people, ‘ she stated.

‘ It is our duty to protect our people from all kinds of harm, and with our blood, sweat, and tears, we shall serve them until our last breath, ‘ Banerjee iterated.

Conveying her sincerest condolences to the victims of the BSF shooting in Cooch Behar, she said, ‘ We promise to stand by the grieving families through thick and thin. The torture meted out to our innocent people by the BSF will never be forgotten. ‘

Stating that she was deeply moved by the overwhelming love and affection shown by the people towards the Trinamool Congress, the Chief Minister said, ‘ The unwavering support of the people serves as our greatest strength. ‘

‘ Our commitment has always been towards the well-being of the people, and we have diligently addressed their needs. Lakhs of people have benefited from our welfare initiatives, such as Kanyashree, Lakshmir Bhandar, Khadya Sathi, Aikyashree, Medhashree, Krishak Bandhu, Sabooj Sathi, the students’ credit card, and Swasthya Sathi, ‘ the Trinamool Congress supremo added.

‘ People have always been our priority and we remain steadfast in our efforts to uplift their lives and ensure their progress, ‘ she further said.

‘ We shall be the voice of the people and uphold the true meaning of democracy, ‘ Banerjee averred.
