Thiruvananthapuram: In support of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s fight against the alleged vote loot perpetrated by the BJP and its government, which undermines a free and fair democratic process, the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee will hold a Freedom Light Night March at 8 pm on August 14.
KPCC President Sunny Joseph said the Congress will also organise state-wide protests on August 12 against the arrest of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and INDIA bloc MPs. They were taken into custody for protesting alleged irregularities in the electoral roll.
Protest marches will be held in the evening under the leadership of Block Congress Committees across the state.
The KPCC chief said the August 14 march will be a symbolic show of solidarity with Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing campaign to safeguard democratic values and ensure free and fair elections in the country.
