New Delhi: In a major push to increase employment opportunities, Finance Minister Nirmla Sitharaman on Tuesday announced three ‘Employment Linked Incentive’ schemes in Budget 2024-25.

The Finance Minister said the employment-linked incentive schemes will be based on registration with the Employees Provident Fund Organisation.

“Our government will implement three schemes for employment-linked incentives as part of the Prime Minister’s package. These will be based on enrollment in the EPFO and focus on recognition of the first time employees and support to employees and employers” she further added.

‘One month’s wage to all workers newly entering the work cycle… This will benefit 210 lakh youth,” the Finance Minister said.
