J&K: BSF jawan martyred in unprovoked firing by Pak Rangers in Ramgarh sector of Samba

Jammu: A jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) attained martyrdom in an unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Rangers along the International Border in Ramgarh sector of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Pakistan troops in the intervening night of November 8-9 violated the truce by firing unprovoked in Ramgarh sector,” BSF spokesman said on Thursday.

He said that one jawan suffered critical injuries in the firing, adding, “the jawan was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed,” he said.

The BSF spokesman said that during intervening night of November 8-9, Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in Ramgarh area which was befittingly responded by BSF troops.

Earlier on October 18 and 26 also Pakistan violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked in Arnia sector in which two BSF personnel received bullet injuries.

On October 28, the Border Security Force, Jammu Frontier lodged strong protest with the Pakistan Rangers during a Flag meet at Octroi Post on unprovoked shelling.
