Manipur Police nab nine for threatening people

Imphal: Manipur Police nabbed nine persons, allegedly cadres of two organisations, for allegedly threatening people.

Police said eight members of an organisation who were threatening with illegal, sophisticated arms at Thoubal District were nabbed on Monday.

Police said three AK 47 rifles, two AK 56s, one M-16 rifle, and a 9mm pistol were recovered from them.

In another incident Manipur Police arrested an alleged militant from Top Leirak Machin, Keishamthong, Imphal West.

Police said the person is involved in extortion activities from shops in the Imphal area.
