Beohari (MP): In a blitzkrieg against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, erstwhile Congress president Rahul Gandhi alleged on Tuesday that the former is “remote-controlled” by tycoon Gautam Adani.

Addressing a Jan Aakrosh Sabha in this town of election-bound Madhya Pradesh’s tribal-dominated Shahdol district, the visiting leader said, “Mr Modi diverts attention by speaking of Pakistan and Afghanistan but not a caste census, which shall be akin to an X-ray for analysing the extent to which the tribal folk, dalits and OBCs have been hurt.”

Tribes have the first right over Hindustan’s land, water and forest wealth but BJP members urinate on adivasis; Mr Gandhi said, adding that during the pandemic, rotten grain unfit for consumption by even animals was supplied to tribal folk.

“The BJP calls you vanvasi implying that you have to live in jungles and die there. As many as 4.5 lakh pattas (title deeds) were annulled by this state’s BJP dispensation that snatched land in Jobat, Mandla and Dindori by intimidation. Your protests were crushed,” he underlined.

The former Congress President reiterated that after his party assumes the reins of this state; Rs 1,500 will be deposited per month in every woman’s account; cooking gas cylinders shall be available for Rs 500 each; 100 units of electricity will be free of charge per consumer and the wages for tendu-leaf gatherers shall be enhanced.
