New Delhi: Defence minister Rajnath Singh will begin campaigning for May 10 assembly election in Karnataka from Wednesday onwards.

Raksha Mantri has been listed as one of the star campaigners for the Karnataka election, but he could not start the campaign as scheduled because he had tested Covid positive last week.

BJP’s other star campaigners are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP party president JP Nadda, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister Smriti Irani and others.

The BJP is seeking a second term in the state and has exuded confidence of returning to power with a full majority.

Prime star campaigner PM Modi will visit Karnataka on April 29. Karnataka will go to polls on May 10 and the votes will be counted on May 13.
