Stalin urges Centre to speed up ongoing projects in TN

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin today urged the Union Goverment to speed up the ongoing projects, including the Chennai Metro Phase-2 and Madurai Metro and
direct the NHAI to speed up the ongoing rod projects in the State.

Speaking at a public function in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union and State Ministers, Mr Stalin urged the Centre to increase the fund allocation for railway projects and speed up the ongoing projects, including Phase 2 Chennai Metro and Madurai Metro.

He also requested Mr Modi to provide Vande Bharat service from Chennai to Madurai and reduce the ticket prices. Stating that Rs 2,432 cr worth road i nfra projects to be launched
by the PM, the Chief Minister urged him to direct the NHAI to speed up the road infra projects in the State.

He also said the Dravidian Model government has also been taking full efforts to provide better infrastructure and thanked Mr Modi and Union Ministers for inaugurating developmental projects in Tamil Nadu.
