Telangana: Guv urges immediate relief measures for flood-affected areas in state

Warangal: Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan visited the flood-affected areas in Warangal district and called on the government to take prompt relief measures.

Before her visit to the affected areas, the Governor offered prayers at the Goddess Bhadrakali temple in Warangal city. Later, she visited Nayeem Nagar and expressed her grief over the situation and stressed the importance of sustained relief efforts.

During her visit, she distributed health kits and essential commodities provided by the Red Cross society. The Governor also inspected the flood-hit areas in Jawahar Nagar and Pothana Nagar in Hanamkonda district and distributed health and essential commodity kits to the residents.

Notably, she also assessed the breach of the Bhadrakali tank, which occurred due to the recent heavy rains.

Stopping at Rangampet, the Governor inquired about the situation and assured the residents of necessary help from the government.

Appreciating the efforts of the Red Cross Society, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that a Central team would visit the flood-affected areas to assess the damage.
