On Tuesday, 18th April, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was produced in the Patiala House Court of New Delhi, and the court has granted a 7-day custody of Bishnoi to the NIA. Further, the agency has been asked by the court to produce evidences after the expiry of the custody. Currently, Bishnoi is lodged in Punjab’s Bathinda Jail.

And while he was produced in the court today regarding an older case against him, as per media reports, sources have revealed that the NIA will also be questioning him in relation to the murders of gangsters Atiq and Ashraf Ahmed.

During the court hearing, Lawrence Bishnoi was asked whether he had supplied the Zigana pistol which was used in the murders of the Ahmed brothers, and despite being asked the same question twice, Bishnoi did not reply. With a lot many layers being expected in the murder case of the Ahmeds, it is being said that the NIA will question Bishnoi in the case.

If a connection between the Atiq and Ashraf murders and Lawrence Bishnoi is found to exist, the Uttar Pradesh Police will then handover the collected information regarding the same to the NIA.
