Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, K T Rama Rao (KTR), expressed confidence that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will emerge victorious in the next assembly elections, paving the way for K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) to become the Chief Minister for the third consecutive term.

Speaking at the distribution of land regularization certificates in Hasthinapuram, L B Nagar, on Wednesday, KTR emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR, Hyderabad will be transformed into a cosmopolitan city.

He highlighted the completion of one lakh double-bedroom houses in the city, which will be distributed to eligible beneficiaries between August 15 and October. A total of 4000 houses will be distributed in each constituency.

KTR also lauded CM KCR’s commitment to the development of infrastructure, particularly the expansion of the metro network. Currently, there are 70 km of operational metro lines, along with a 31 km airport metro line under construction. Furthermore, CM KCR has approved an additional 314 km of metro lines, aiming to enhance connectivity across the state.

In the L B Nagar constituency, the Nagolu to LB Nagar route will be completed as part of the ongoing metro expansion project. Additionally, there are plans to extend the metro from LB Nagar to Outer Ring Road (ORR) via Hayathnagar, and a 159 km long metro rail will be constructed around Outer Ring Road (ORR).

KTR pointed out that land for the metro was allocated during the construction of ORR, which enables cost-effective development without the need for additional land acquisition.
