On Wednesday, August 2, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, speaking on the Nuh violence perpetrated by the Muslim rioters on Hindus carrying out an annual procession, said that it is the Hindus who are to be blamed for the violence, because the organizers of the procession did not provide a ‘proper estimate’ of the crowd gathering to the administration.

On the one hand, while blaming the victims for the violence, Chautala, on the other hand, appealed for peace and harmony to all the people of the state of Haryana. He added that those involved in violence will be brought to book and strict action will be taken against the rioters. Along with blaming the Hindus, he even refused to accept that the violence was pre-planned, something which even the state CM Manohar Lal Khattar stated earlier.

The Muslims attacked the Hindu procession being carried out by the VHP, pelted stones on the Hindus, fired guns, and burnt down their vehicles. 2 home-guards and 3 civilians lost their lives in the violence, and the Muslims even surrounded a Mandir wherein 2500 Hindus had taken refuge to protect themselves from the Muslim rioters. This happened in Haryana’s Nuh, which lies in the Mewat region, which is called the Mini-Pakistan of India.
