On Wednesday, August 2, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, speaking on the Nuh violence perpetrated by the Muslim rioters on Hindus carrying out an annual procession, said that it is the Hindus who are to be blamed for the violence, because the organizers of the procession did not provide a ‘proper estimate’ of the crowd gathering to the administration.
On the one hand, while blaming the victims for the violence, Chautala appealed for peace and harmony to all the people of Haryana.
He added that those involved will be brought to book and strict action will be taken against the rioters. Along with blaming the Hindus, he even refused to accept that the violence was pre‑planned, a view also expressed by state CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
