Father Stan Swamy died because of COVID-19. Death, unfortunately, comes to all. Sadly, under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic death comes rather unexpectedly.
I hoped the truth behind the links of Fr Stan Swamy to Maoists working against India’s interest was exposed more.
The charade of Maoists working with tribals infiltrating their minds with ideas of revolting against the Indian government needed to be exposed. Fr Stan Swamy was a Maoist. He is not a Martyr.
The Catholic Church and the Opposition will use this opportunity to target the Narendra Modi-led government without conveying the simple fact that Fr Stan Swamy along with his Maoist organization hatched a conspiracy to create unrest in the entire country.
Murder is what they will scream on social media and from the rooftops. That is expected. In fact, I am sure that the Jesuit Curia in Rome will also get into the act of glorifying Fr Stan Swamy and work towards creating a reason for his canonization while demonizing India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Elgar Parishad or Bhima-Koregaon violence case brought out the hidden agenda of Maoists in India and it brought to the surface the links of the Catholic Priest Fr Stan Swamy. Intelligence sources had told us in confidence during the probe that those people under investigation, linked to the Elgar Parishad case, were plotting to kill the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
While refusing bail to Fr Stan Swamy, the special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court held that “Prima facie it can be gathered that Fr Swamy along with other members of the banned organization hatched a serious conspiracy to create unrest in the entire country and to overpower the Government, politically and by using muscle power”.
Special judge D.E. Kothalikar said, “The material placed on record thus prima facie denote that the applicant (Fr Swamy) was not only the member of banned organization Communist Party of India (Maoist) but he was carrying out activities further in the objective of the organization which is nothing but to overthrow the democracy of the nation.”
The court concluded, “There are reasonable grounds for believing that the accusation of commission of the offenses punishable under chapters IV (punishment for terrorist activities) and VI (terrorist organizations) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) against the applicant is prima facie true. Considering the express bar imposed by Section 43D 5 (no person accused with chapters IV and VI shall be released on bail) of the UAPA, the applicant cannot be released on bail.”
The court also mentioned, “The material collected during the investigating would further state that the applicant had received Rs.8 lacs through Comrade. Mohan, for the furtherance of the CPI (M) activities. The references made in the aforementioned letters to the members being Comrade goes to suggest that there is a force in the submissions made by the special public prosecutor that the word Comrade was being used while addressing to the member of the CPI (M).”
Having worked with different intelligence agencies in India, I know that their commitment to national security is without a doubt, so it would not matter to them if the accused is a Catholic priest or a Hindu Sadhvi. If the issue is national security, they will leave no stone unturned to get to the bottom of the truth. The intelligence sleuths do not have time for petty religious or political games.
Fr Stan Swamy through disinformation and lies by the Catholic Church and political opportunists could be portrayed to be innocent but to me the law of India is supreme, it does not matter if you are a Catholic priest, a Bollywood celebrity, a Politician or a Common Citizen; if you are accused of working against the nation, then you need to treated as someone who is working against the nation and not favorably, just because you are an aging Catholic priest.
People mourning for Fr Stan Swamy terming it murder by the Indian government kept a stoic silence when an aging Hindu Sadhu was brutally beaten to death by a mob in the presence of the Maharashtra police in Palghar. I fail to understand this conundrum, both were priests – one an accused Catholic priest that worked against India who died because of the Chinese virus; the other a passerby Hindu priest who died because of the mob virus of inhumanity; but the mourning is for a Jesuit priest who was declared a Maoist by an NIA Special Court, not for the Palghar sadhu. No country for old priests in India if there are Hindu priests.
