Hamirpur (HP): HP Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Chandra Kumar said on Friday that this time no special relief package has been received from the Central Government to make up for the devastation in Himachal Pradesh during the monsoon season.

In an informal conversation with reporters after the District Level Relief and Rehabilitation Committee meeting on Friday, Chandra Kumar said that the Central Government has released two installments to Himachal Pradesh only out of the funds allocated for disaster relief in the annual plan budget.

Apart from this, Union Minister for Surface Transport and National Highways Nitin Gadkari has assured about Rs 400 crore for damaged roads in the state.

Chandra Kumar said that the State Government has presented its stand before the centre, and now Himachal is waiting for a special relief package from the Central Government.
