Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo in February 2021 asked the centre to halt the supply of Covaxin to the state claiming phase 3 trials have not yet been completed. Covaxin should be only brought in after its efficacy was proven. Singh Deo tweeted on Sunday evening saying “we do not support the use of Covaxin in the vaccination process In Chhattisgarh for one simple reason, it is not safe to use any vaccine until it has completed the recommended process with absolute authentications and success.”

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and senior Health Minister of Chhattisgarh TS Singh Deo on Tuesday expressed their displeasure at PM Modi’s address to the nation. Deo was upset that PM Modi did not speak about vaccine doses that’ll be given to states.

After the DCG (Drug Controller General) of India upgraded the Covaxin out of the clinical trials Singh Deo said we are seriously considering allowing Covaxin for those who wish to choose it. TS Singh Deo constantly criticized the centre about the efficacy of Covaxin which was then given emergency approval and were being administered to the frontline workers.

The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has been criticizing the centre blaming them for the Covid-19 condition and not for alerting states of the second wave. However, top doctors alerted about a second wave.

Bhupesh Baghel also alleged that PM Modi’s diplomacy under which illness of dose of anti-covid vaccines was gifted to other countries. He went on to criticize Khumb Mella while praising Rahul Gandhi for cancelling the rallies in west Bengal and referred to Rahul Gandhi as a Political Role Model.

It is still not known if Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi has taken the jab or not, maybe to maintain his youth icon image.

It should also be noted that when Chhattisgarh was hit with the second wave, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel was busy conducting a rally in Assam for Congress Party. Chhattisgarh is currently under complete lockdown.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is in the news after a long time and why shouldn’t he be as he has presented his view about something after a long time via a letter to PM Modi with suggestions on tackling Covid-19 second wave. Some key points written in the letter:

Has the vaccine been ordered from others as well? Asking Modi Ji about his opinion on vaccines in other countries? And what is the plan to tackle Covid-16 for the next 6 months?

The centre should only keep 10 % of the vaccines and the remaining should be sent to the states.

The centre should fund private companies wanting to make vaccines.

A few days back Sonia Gandhi also wrote a letter to PM Modi saying that the vaccination should be available for the below 45 age group. One point that was common in both letters was about insisting Modi Ji bring vaccines outside from Bharat. It is also said that both Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh want Chinese Vaccines to come to India. They are the same people who criticized the centre for announcing that the vaccines would be available, calling it a political gimmick. They also raised their eyebrows at our top scientists and Doctors regarding Vaccines. Congress also said this vaccine can make people Impotent.

However, they don’t realize or choose to acknowledge that Bharat is number 3 in regards to providing vaccines to Indians. Seems like these are tactics to put pressure on the central government to get vaccines from outside especially in China.

Reports suggest that in China itself no one is ready to take the Chinese vaccine and China’s favourite Country, Pakistan is also depending on either the Russian vaccine or Bharat’s vaccine and refusing to take the Chinese vaccination.

Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan Singh gave a befitting reply to Former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh.

Dr Harsh Vardhan Singh stated, “Whoever advised Manmohan Singh to write this letter did not inform him properly about the fact that on 11th April 2021 Centre had already allowed vaccines from outside of India whereas Manmohan Singh demanded in the letter on 18th Apr 2021 that the centre should allow vaccine from outside of India to come into India. The health minister also accused a sitting Chief Minister without naming him, of a congress ruled state of directly provoking people against an indigenously developed vaccine.”

Amongst all the allegations which were being levelled at the centre by the opposition party, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. Rahul Gandhi had been intensively campaigning in Tamil Nadu.

Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma, 68 years also old tested positive for Covid-19. He has been shifted to a private hospital called Medanta Hospital according to reports, earlier he was in Apollo Hospital.

Many other Congress leaders like former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been admitted to AIIMS in Delhi, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Randeep Surjewaa are currently being treated at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
