Aurangabad (Maharashtra): NCP Maharashtra President Jayantrao Patil on Monday said public opinion is currently against the government and this gives his party a big chance to return to power.

Patil, a former Minister on a tour of Marathwada, reviewed the urban and rural organization in Aurangabad on Monday and in Ahmednagar on Sunday.

Patil said these districts had largely support NCP leader Sharad Pawar.

“If we want to grow, every worker of the party should reach out to the common people,” he said.

“Public opinion is currently against the rulers. People are not satisfied with the manner in which the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was overthrown in Maharashtra. The treason committed by the Shinde group is not to the liking of the people,” he pointed out.

Patil alleged that decisions were being taken for the decline of Maharashtra since this government came to power.
