Telangana CM wows reconstruction for the state’s social and economic revival

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasised the imperative to rebuild the socially and economically devastated state of Telangana.

The Chief Minister appealed to the police to play a pivotal role in the reconstruction efforts for the beleaguered Telangana state.

CM Revanth Reddy attended the get-together programme of IPS officers in Hyderabad on Thursday as the chief guest, a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office here said on Thursday night.

Addressing the gathering, CM Revanth Reddy stated that the government would not exert undue pressure on the police, treating them as collaborators rather than subordinates. He emphasised that the power bestowed by the people would be utilised as an opportunity to serve citizens by involving everyone. The government is open to receiving suggestions and advice from the police for the development and reconstruction of the state.

Highlighting the economic and social setbacks of the past ten years, the Chief Minister urged for concerted efforts to uplift Telangana from its desolated situation.

He urged police officers to actively participate in the government’s endeavour to make Telangana the fastest-developing state in the country. The CM called for a crackdown on the sale of narcotic drugs, aiming to promote Hyderabad as a drug-free city.

Revanth Reddy appealed to the police to combat drug abuse among the youth and address the escalating threat of cybercrime to society. He suggested leveraging advanced technology and studying methods employed in developed countries to curb cybercrime.

Commending the police for their continuous efforts in maintaining law and order, CM Revanth Reddy assured them that the government is always ready to address their grievances.

Present at the event were DGP Ravi Gupta, Additional DG Shivdhar Reddy, CID Additional DG Shika Goyal, Hyderabad CP Kothakota Srinivasa Reddy, and other police officers.
